where are we going with this?
I tell her:
I'm the warm corona of heat
that engulfs this relationship
I'm the dead lust
of a 10-hour lifecycle
I'm the screeching halt
of trailer truck tires
She laughs off the words
empties her glass
crosses
naked
legs
and asks:
Why do you talk like that?
What do you expect from this?
I'm
not sure- don't
know- nothing
no
thing
just- (quickly before we both show ourselves)
put on your red skirt (I know you're crazy)
your shoes (I know I am as well)
we're leavin- outa here! (time is of the essence!)
goin to the country (a change of pace)
we're gonna (become REAL people)
